    Minor Football Championship Round 3: First Win for Na Fianna

    Na Fianna earned their first win in the MFC Div 4 with a great win in Enfield on Saturday afternoon. The visitors stormed ahead in the opening quarter, quickly hitting three goals as they led by nine points. 
    Before half time, Na Fianna sprang to life when Stephen Maher collected a high ball from Jake McCreddan and placed a perfect finish into the top corner to claim a goal. He also hit two points in the half while Rory Fagan hit 1-01 and Paddy Flynn scored a fine point as Na Fianna only trailed by one point at half time.


    Na Fianna kept up the pace in the second half with Maher hitting another goal and James Boggan hitting a tremendous long range point as Na Fianna repelled a late Dunboyne rally to claim a well-earned win.

    Na Fianna now progress to the Shield semi-final where they will face Gaeil Colmcille in two weeks.
