    Na Fianna V Simonstown

    Na Fianna played hosts to Simonstown on a very cold morning in Enfield.
    Na Fianna started brightly and Dean Barrett pointed after 2 minutes.
    Simonstown however followed up with three unanswered points before Na Fianna got their second point. Simonstown extended their lead by another two points to hold a three point advantage after 12 minutes.
    ShaneWalsh then netted a great goal for Na Fianna and the sides were level.

    Simonstown then retook the lead with a point but, Na Fianna stormed back to score two unanswered points and led the game for the first time.
    However, this only spurred Simonstown on and they finished the half with theree unanswered point to lead at half time by 9 points to 1.04.

    Jamie Queeney replaced Mark Slevin at the start of the second half. Simonstown pushed forward from the restart and pressurised Na Fianna.
    The Na Fianna defence was been put under a lot of pressure but a young defence defended well with Sean Rafferty growing into the role.
    Half time substitute Jamie Queeney fielded some high ball and fed some ball into the forward. Simonstown took control of the game mid way in the the second half when the netted a goal following a slick counter attacking move.

    However Na Fianna continued to work hard and were rewarded when Conor Downey and Shane Walsh combined well in the move that resulted in Shane finishing cooly to the net for Na Fianna's second goal.

    A missed free in the 26th minute shortly followed by a missed goal chance where the last opportunities to narrow the gap on Simonstown.

    Final score: Na Fianna 2-6(1 free) to Simonstown 1- 13 (4 frees) m
