U15 Boys FL Final: Na Fianna 2-09, KWood 3-07

    Na Fianna 2-09 Kilmainhamwood 3-07

Na Fianna left it too late in this pulsating final in Dunganny on Sunday morning as Kilmainhamwood claimed the spoils.

Na Fianna played against a strong breeze in the first half and struggled to keep pace at times. Trailing by six coming up to half time, a Sean McDonnell goal gave Na Fianna hope for the second half.

Halftime score; Na Fianna 1-04, Kilmainhamwood 2-04

The second half was a real battle with both sides giving their all. A goal with ten minutes remaining put the north Meath side five ahead, but Na Fianna weren’t finished yet.  Rory Fagan unleashed a long range shot which went into the bottom corner of the net to spark them to life.

Sean McDonnell added a point in injury time to leave one point between the sides, but time ran out and Kilmainhamwood finished as winners.

This group of Na Fianna players have improved hugely this year and with continued hard work they have big futures in the game.
